Our Story
Why complicate things? That was our thinking in 1998 when we opened Tant Grön one day in June. There was a small building on the farm that was sitting empty, and just like that, it became a farm shop selling our own berries and vegetables. We could never have imagined that this little shop would receive so much attention!
The farm where Tant Grön and Elin & Arvid are located has a well-preserved history. Both in the buildings and the ownership lineage. Exactly how old the farm is, we don’t know for sure. The first map we have dates back to 1821. It’s easy to feel the touch of history here on the farm. It has been passed down from father to son, mother to son, and father to daughter for six generations. We took over as the sixth generation in 1995.

In the old photograph, which has become the signature image of the shops, you can see Elin and Arvid Andersson with their children. The photo was taken in the late 1920s. The building to the right in the image is where the shops are located today. Photographer unknown.
